Placenta Encapsulation

Placenta has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to promote healing for over 1400 years!

During the birth, our bodies are loosing many nutrients, iron, blood, and hormones. This may result in exhaustion, lack of milk supply, slow physical healing, and “baby blues”. By consuming placenta you reintroduce many of these lost elements to heal, harmonize, and balance your body.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Method

This method of preparation involves cleaning the placenta, gently steaming the placenta with dried ginger and myrrh, and then dehydrating the placenta before it’s put into capsules.

Using this preparation is thought to bring out the placenta’s healing and tonifying properties as well as warming and healing the uterus, to create harmony and balance in women’s body postpartum.

I use only the Traditional Chinese Medicine method because this method has been used for centuries and is researched – also steaming is more likely to kill bacteria.

How does it work:

- Fill out the contact form below once you decide to work with me.
- I'll send you the contract which has all the detailed information.
- Discuss the release of your placenta from the hospital where you give birth (or backup hospital for home births) and to ensure proper labeling and storage of your placenta in a refrigerator or cooler with the placenta placed on ice until it can be picked up or delivered for preparation and encapsulation.
- Notify me after the birth (within 24 hours) to make arrangements for me for pick up and drop off service.
- The process usually takes about 48-72 hours from the time the placenta is picked up until the finished capsules are delivered.
